Pissed off with Gay Pride

I was supposed to be in Manchester today, meeting some friends and generally having a good time. Unfortunately those plans have had to be scrapped because a bunch of gay people decided they wanted to walk very slowly through the middle of Manchester blowing some whistles.

I really don't care whether people are gay or not. It doesn't bother me. I. Do. Not. Give. A. Fuck. What does piss me off, however, is the "gay community" as an entity, particularly when they spend forever and a day whinging about how everyone labels them or treats them differently, but then decide to spend a day fucking everyone else's lives up by having a fucking parade! It's not even the parade that I dislike, although to be fair I do think that walking around in fetish clothing and groping each other is not appropriate public behaviour on a Saturday afternoon (and yes, I did witness that and more). No, it's the fact that it cut the fucking city in half and decimated the public transport system.

Here's an original idea - how about you fucking advertise the fact that the buses are all diverted? It's all very well putting up A4 posters in the bus shelters the day before, but I don't fucking live in Manchester so I wouldn't know about it. While they're at it, next time they can fucking route the parade in such a way that they don't bisect the city and cut people off from the public transport. Seriously, I spent 2 hours wandering around Manchester in circles trying to find a way to get to the bus so I could visit my friends. The only way to do it would have been to get a train over the parade route and then walk to the alternative bus stops. Only problem with that is I don't know where the alternative bus stops are. It's all very well the bus guy telling me "it's on street X" but I'm not from Manchester and I don't know where street X is.

As far as I'm concerned, the gay community can fuck off and take their stupid parade with them. I don't care what you do in your own time, but you've ruined my day and disrupted my life and that's just not on. Tossers.

Sorry about the quietness - I've been away and snowed under with stuff and I haven't really had the time (or the energy) to update the blog!

I was reading the news today and saw that the UAE has impounded a shipment of illegal weapons from North Korea to Iran.

Perhaps its time for another strongly worded letter from Ban Ki Moon to Kim Jong Il telling him that the UN is very disappointed in him and want him to start behaving himself...

When you call a "town hall" meeting to discuss and debate healthcare reform, you'd think the politician in question would listen to the questions, right? Wrong!



That is Representative Sheila Jackson-Lee, the Democrat Congresswoman from Texas's 18th Congressional District, taking a call on her mobile phone while someone is trying to ask her a question. Her contempt for her consituents is such that she doesn't even bother to pay attention to them when they are talking to her. What a piece of shit. I hope she gets turfed out of office at the mid-terms for this crap.

Compare and Contrast

Two scenarios for you.

1) A black man is reported to be breaking into a house. He claims it is his house, but fails to provide any ID or proof that it is his home, and gets aggressive when challenged by the police who have no choice but to arrest him. It is later confirmed that it was indeed his home and he is immediately released with an apology and no charge.

2) A black man is peacefully demonstrating at a public meeting in healthcare reform. A group of white union thugs who were bussed in by the people running the public meeting (and against whom the black man is demonstrating) confront him, racially abuse him and proceed to beat him so badly that he is left in a wheelchair and unable to speak.

Which of the above scenarios would you say is a racist incident deserving of media attention?

If you answered 2) then you are a sensible, normal person with a conscience.

If you answered 1) then you are President Barack Obama, the Democrats, Jesse Jackson, the NAACP, Al Sharpton and the US Mainstream Media.

Because as we all know, it's only racist for a gang of white guys to beat up a black man if he's a liberal. If he happens to be a black conservative then he's fair game. Fucking racist bastards.

Or is it the guy who earns much less money than the woman for doing the same job (ie having sex on camera), who generally doesn't get his name splashed all over the front of the DVD and who generally doesn't make loads of money from appearances at adult conventions?

A few interesting points on race...

When Democrat Barack Obama was the first black man to be elected President of the United States, Democrats and liberals all over America and the world claimed it as a victory over the racist Republicans. Whenever conservatives criticise Obama or his policies, they are held up as racists. President Bush was apparently a racist, according to Democrats. Black Americans are told by the media and by corrupt "community leaders" such as Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson that Republicans hate blacks, to the point that the black community in America votes almost en masse for the Democrats, who continue to pretend that they have always been the party of racial unity. I don't quite know how this happened, especially as anyone who studies history knows it to be bullshit. Here are a few facts that I have learned in recent studies of the history of the Civil Rights movement in America:

• President Abraham Lincoln freed black slaves in 1863 with the Emancipation Proclamation and later abolished slavery with the 13th Amendment to the Constitution of the United States. President Lincoln was a Republican.

• When the Emancipation Proclamation was announced in 1863, the Democrats used it to stir up an anti-war movement to try and force a settlement with the Confederacy.

• In 1864, the Democrats ran an election campaign based on peace with the Confederacy, the scrapping of the Emancipation Proclamation and the continuation of slavery.

• Both the President and Vice-President of the pro-slavery Confederate States of America during the Civil War were Democrats.

• Senator Robert Byrd of West Virgina, who has been a Senator since 1959, was a member of the Ku Klux Klan and held the rank of Exalted Cyclops (whatever that means). Senator Byrd is a Democrat.

• President Woodrow Wilson supported the Jim Crow segregation laws in the Southern United States and sanctioned racial segregation within Government departments. He was also quoted in the infamous Ku Klux Klan film Birth of a Nation, describing the KKK as "a veritable Empire of the South, to protect the Southern country." President Wilson was a Democrat.

• President Ulysses S Grant signed Bills to criminalise the Ku Klux Klan and crack down on their activities. He also signed Bills to afford voting rights to black Americans and had this enshringed into the Constitution with the 15th Amendment. He also passed legislation demanding equality in public accomodations and jury selection. President Grant was a Republican.

• When Presidents Kennedy and later Johnson, both Democrats, tried to get the 1964 Civil Rights Act passed, the Chairman of the House Rules Committee, Howard Smith, stated that he intended to keep the bill "bottled up indefinitely." Howard Smith was a Democrat from Virginia.

• When the 1964 Civil Rights Bill went to the Senate for debate, an attempt was made to fillibuster it by a bloc of Southern Senators led by Richard Russell of Georgia who said "We will resist to the bitter end any measure or any movement which would have a tendency to bring about social equality and intermingling and amalgamation of the races in our states." Senator Russell was a Democrat, as were many of his supporters.

• Senator Robert Byrd of West Virginia, who as we have already noted is both a Democrat and a former member of the Ku Klux Klan, opposed the 1964 Civil Rights Act and spoke for over 14 hours as part of the fillibuster attempt.

• George Wallace, the Governor of Alabama who tried to enforce segregation in the South despite the US Supreme Court and ruling against it and who said at his Gubanatorial inauguration "segregation now, segregation tomorrow, segregation forever" was a Democrat.

It's a little hard to see how, based on all that history (and more) the Democrats can position themselves as the party of black Americans, but somehow they've done it. Perhaps the GOP should start teaching the American people a bit of history and let them make up their own minds...

Child Abuse

Most people will read that title and think that I'm going rant on about kiddie fiddlers, or people who get a kick out of beating up small children, but I'm not. There's an entirely different kind of child abuse that is just as bad - stupid parents who spoil their children.

I'm going to start with a photo, taken from this story in the Daily Wail:




























Before any of you start thinking "Ding Dong" I'd like to mention that this girl is just 11 years old. The look you see is the result of her parents lavishing over half their combined income on designer shit for her. Clothes, shoes, makeup, hair, gadgets - whatever she wants, she gets.

According to the article, in just 11 years her parents have spent over £150,000 on designer things for her. They have a combined income of just £30,000 a year (less than the 16 year olds operating the Swine Flu Hotline), yet their 11 year old daughter gets anything she wants. £1,300 of IT equipment, iPhones, iPods, shoes, clothes, £400 a month on a credit card. On her 11th birthday, her parents spent £2,000 on a stretched limo to drive her and her friends around. Her idols? Paris Hilton and Katie Price. Her goal in life? To be a famous glamour model. She's even started pestering for a boob job. For fuck's sake, this girl is only 11, she's not even started High School yet, let alone given her own breasts a chance to develop properly and she's already asking for a boob job? Sheesh.

Read the whole thing and I guarantee you'll be shaking your head in despair, just as I was.

This is the sort of child abuse I'm talking about. The only reason this girl is the way she is is because her parents are too stupid to say no. They indulge her every whim, and as a result their daughter is growing up without understanding the value of money, or the need to get a job. All she cares about are looks, fame and designer goods. This is the sort of girl who is going to spend High School giving blow-jobs to the jocks behind the bike sheds and will probably be fucking them before she's 14, all because her parents haven't taught her anything other than the sexualised consumerism of the glossy magazines. Is it her fault she's like this? No. It's her parents' fault for spoiling her from birth with £25 designer dummies and Baby Dior baby clothes. She's going to grow up in her own little world of "Like, yeah, you know, like, totally, like, whatever" and when she grows up she is going to be brought down to Earth, hard, by the realities of the real world. All because her parents abused her as a child by refusing to say no.

If you want something done properly...

...for God's sake keep the Government out of it.

In response to the Swine Flu pandemic, the British Government lept into action. A mere several months after the disease started to spread, the Government set up the Swine Flu Hotline to ease the burden on the NHS.

Unfortunately for people who are worried about Swine Flu, the hotline is manned by unqualified 16 year olds. These children (and they are legally children) are tasked with asking a series of scripted questions and then sending out Tamiflu - an anti-viral drug with potentially serious side-effects - to the callers. They receive no medical training, have no medical qualifications whatsoever and are paid £16.40 an hour. That is a staggering amount of money to be paying unqualified children to answer a phone and hand out medicine, especially when it is reported that many have trouble pronouncing words like "Tamiflu" and "Influenza". If they were to work full-time (40 hours a week) at that rate, they'd be on nearly £31,500 a year. I have a degree and a challenging job and I earn less than that. Fucking disgraceful.

Americans take note. If the Government takes over your healthcare system it won't just be Washington bureaucrats deciding who gets what medicine - it could be unqualified high-school kids earning more than you do for reading a script.
